Justin Jones and James Castrission were the first two men to cross the Tasman Sea unsupported in a kayak also recording the longest trans oceanic kayaking expedition in history. Their journey took 62 days, 3318kms with 10 metre swells, howling winds of over 50 knots, severe food and sleep deprivation and sharks encircling. It was a huge triumph that awarded them Adventurers of the Year in 08.

World Expeditions has organized a national speaking tour for them next month which will be their first public appearance to tell of the epic journey that was.

Their tour date are;

  • Friday 20 November in Melbourne, State Library of Victoria
  • Monday 23 November in Canberra, Ainslie Function Centre
  • Tuesday 24 November in Brisbane, Dendy Portside.
