CLUB MEMBERSHIP 2014 – 2015 SEASON

Annual memberships are effective from 1st July to 30th June of the following year and are hence due for renewal as from 30th June each year.

Currumbin Creek Paddlers Club WANTS YOU!! – Memberships NOW DUE.

All new members and those who have participated as a Saturday morning trial canoeist are encouraged to join NOW!!! The membership season is the 1st July 2014 – 1st July 2015. 

It is prefered that all membership applications are made online.  However if you are unable to, details of the paper based method are also provided below.

Membership Fees (applicable from 1 July 2014)

Note: Senior = 18 yrs or above. Junior = under 18 yrs, as at 1st July.

A member of another club affiliated with QC who wishes also to join CCPC (Second Claim membership) only pays the CCPC component of the fees above. 

Where does your money go?

The CCPC component of your fee covers the basic running costs of the club; including the annual Australian Canoeing affiliation fee, contribution to Palm Beach Currumbin State High School for use of boat shed for storage of club kayaks, trailer running costs, stationery, postage and bank fees, purchase of small equipment and boat repairs.  Most of our major items; such as kayaks, paddles and PFDs etc. are acquired through funding grants.

The Australian Canoeing (AC) and Queensland Canoeing (QC) component of your fee covers “head office” type operating costs such as; insurance policies, administering the national database, websites, membership cards, GST compliance, club development, communications and promotions.

Membership Categories:

Full Competition:   For members who are involved in competitions. They receive all member benefits and discounted entry fees to sanctioned competitions.

Full Recreation:     For members who are regular paddlers who do not get involved in competition on a regular basis. They are entitled to all benefits except for discounted entry fees.

Short term:            For members wishing to participate on a recreational or competitive basis for a three (3) month period.

Social:                    For non paddling individuals wishing to be recognised as a club member and/or official assisting their club to achieve its goals and objectives.

Family:                    Options are: 1 senior and 1 junior, 2 seniors or 2 juniors – as table above.

Trial Canoeist:       Available for non-members undertaking a “Come n Try” or specific club event.
