Early bird registration will open on 2 June 2008 and close on 31 July 2008 – that is THIS YEAR not next year. Entering early will ensure that you take advantage of the 15% discount to the entry fee. All the canoe disciplines – marathon, flatwater, slalom and canoe polo will be held at or near Penrith. If you are seeking accommodation I recommend contacting the Games Travel Office via the World Masters Games web site as many accommodation places have blocked the games period for inquiries only from Games Travel Office staff. Prices are displayed and are 2009 prices.
At this stage over 500 people have registered their interest in the canoe / kayak disciplines for the 2009 World Masters Games.
In the near future a call will be made for persons who are able to hire kayaks / canoes to others during the games. A database will be established and the persons wishing to hire the craft will be put in direct contact with the hirer to make all necessary arrangements.Ê
